I feel like I mention my age and my quest to keep myself looking young on this blog and my social media outlets like EVERYDAY. So today will be no different. Today I bring yinz guys another beauty review. This time it’s for Valentia Night Revive Retinol Serum in partnership with BrandBacker. You may remember a few months back I reviewed their Pure Glow Brightening Moisturizer, so I was excited to try another product from this line.
Like I’ve mention before, it is very important that I keep my skin in tip top shape, and that means constantly protecting it from the elements. So for me, that means keeping it moisturized. My favorite night time moisturizer is good old Vitamin E, so I was thrilled to see that this serum not only contained Vitamin E but Vitamin A and C as well. It also contains Squalane which is derived from Olive Oil. So before I get to the review, let’s discuss the key ingredients inside Night Revive Retinol Serum.
- Retinol (Vitamin A): Works at cellular level to stop wrinkles, manage breakouts, and even out Skin discoloration.
- Vitamin C: Guards skin against environmental free-radicals to prevent premature aging.
- Vitamin E: Provides intense hydration to diminish the drying effects of Retinol.
- Squalane: Derived from pure olive oil to soften and condition delicate skin.
Another thing that got my immediate attention was what Night Revive Retinol Serum claims it will do.
The Valentia Night Revive Retinol Serum Will:
- Diminish Wrinkles
- Stimulate Collagen
- Improve Skin Tone
- Manage Breakouts
- Condition Skin
So after reading up on the product I was eager to give this serum a try. So let’s get right into the review shall we! The first thing I noticed about this product is the amount that you get. Once again Valentia was very generous with allowing me to try out a full size product. You get 1.18oz in this bottle, which will last you a long time, especially being that I used it 3 times out of the week. The cost for the 1.18oz bottle is $35.00, which is a reasonable price for the amount of product and the quality of ingredients you get with this serum.
Next thing I noticed was the texture of the product. It has a very gel like consistency to it. Not too thick and not too watery. It also sinks into the skin right away without leaving an oily feeling on the skin as well.
My overall thought? I’m very pleased with the product over the time frame that I tried and reviewed it. I think for the amount of product and quality of the ingredients that is inside of this serum, it’s definitely an investment that I wouldn’t mind making, especially with the prices I’ve seen for other night time serums that contain retinol in them. It did not irritate my skin, and I’ve very happy to announce this product is cruelty free, vegan friendly and made with all natural ingredients.
If you have happened to try Valentia’s Night Revive Retinol Serum or and of their other products let me know what products you have tried and what you thought of them. And if you’re interested in check out some of their products here is their website and social media links as well.
